Selection Process

Jindal Global University (JGU) pursues a holistic admissions policy for most programmes. A holistic admissions policy seeks to understand the whole applicants beyond numbers and asks whether a applicant will be a good fit in a programme and whether they will thrive. This is in keeping with best practices of international universities and allows us to select the best applicants for our programmes. Applicants for Undergraduate Programmes (excepting 5-Year Law and B. Arch) will go through the following process:

Start your Application Form : Go to https://admissions.jgu.edu.in/ to begin your application. You need to have scanned copies of your X and XII Scores (if applicable), and your Passport Sized Photograph ready. The photograph should be a front-facing profile picture (2 x 2) with a neutral background. Supplemental Questions X Board Scores or Equivalent “XII Board Scores or Equivalent (if completed)” Extra-curricular certificates Personal Statement of purpose Telephonic Interview: Telephonic interview by Admission Manager, it consists of probing, fact finding and creating interest in the applicant’s mind. This is an important step to ensure conversion from Round 1 to Round 2. Applicants will be notified if they have “Advanced to Round 2” or “Rejected” based on their submitted complete application form.Applicants who have advanced to Round 2 will need to do the following: Faculty Interview (In Person or Remotely) * Examination Round; SAT/ ACT/ UGAT/ LSAT/ JSAT Examination (If Applicable) (If you have not taken or plan on taking the SAT, ACT, LSAT-India Examination, then you will be required to complete the JSAT Examination. Please go to the JSAT Page for more information to schedule JSAT: https://home.pearsonvue.com/jsat.aspx) Selected students will be receiving an invitation for a workshop in JGU Radio and TV studios. Applicants will be notified if they have “Advanced to Round 3”, have been “Rejected”, or “Placed on the Waitlist”Applicants who have advanced to Round 3 will receive a Provisional Offer of Admissions pending XII Board Marks or Equivalent and Any Additional Information required by Jindal School of Journalism and Communication. Successful Applicants are required to pay the Refundable Registration Fee*for their programme to secure their seat by the deadline. (Please check our important dates section for more details) Once the XII Boards Results are confirmed, applicants will be given their Final Offer of Admissions. False information in an applicant’s application form will result in cancellation of application or withdrawal of their Offer of Admission.

Final decision made on an application is entirely on the basis of overall performance by the applicant. No other formal or informal recommendations from any individual(s) will be entertained or considered.
