Our graduates will become communications professionals equipped with critical thinking and leadership skills rooted on a global, interdisciplinary perspective. The real-world focus and interdisciplinary nature of the program prepares students for a variety of endeavors, with the opportunity to participate in a rigorous internship program from the very first semester.
Over the first two years of the B.A. (Hons.) then, students train in the foundational areas of communications studies through core courses and electives from both the JSJC and other schools at JGU. Students also complete internships each semester break. In the final year, students choose a major—as an area for concentrated study, and write a thesis. In other words, the final year thesis for the B.A. (Hons.) is a detailed work of substantial length and depth over a specialized subject, duly approved and advised by JSJC faculty.
